Main duties and responsibilities
The purpose of the Mechanics position is to perform a diversified list of duties including perform corrective and preventative maintenance on a variety of rolling stock {i.e. lift trucks, Genie Boom lifts, scissor lifts, diesel fire pumps, pickups and small gas engine equipment, wheel loaders, skid steers, etc.), Utilize a work order system to track maintenance and schedule preventative maintenance and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Applicants must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, twist and work in other awkward positions.
Proficiency in written communication is important as the mechanic must be able to comprehend written instructions and follow directions from shop manuals.

Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years verifiable mechanic experience
Applicants must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, twist and work in other awkward positions.

Applicants must have hands on experience with:
- Engine troubleshooting ( diesel, gas and LPG)
- Welding and fabricating.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic pumps and components.
- Automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Brake, exhaust, fuel {gas, diesel, propane) and cooling systems.
- Automatic transmissions.
- Differentials.
- Parts ordering and parts inventory.
- Maintaining and servicing plant rolling stock (i.e. fork lifts, Genie Boom lifts, scissor lifts, diesel fire pumps, pickups and small gas engine equipment, wheel loaders, skid steers, etc.).
- Reading and understanding service manuals.
