Altitude Sports is the official television network of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Mammoth. Altitude Sports also broadcasts University of Denver sports, Air Force Academy sports, High School Football Championships, as well as other local and regional sports, entertainment, and public service programming.

Nature of Work:

The Host/Reporter position is an important on-camera position within Altitude Sports & Entertainment. This person needs to have knowledge of all the professional teams and leagues that Altitude covers. This person must have the ability to host various pre-game and post-game shows, podcasts, as well as other ancillary programming. This person must have the ability to conduct interview, produce features and other content for the teams that they cover. Must have knowledge of all teams throughout Colorado and their region. Must have knowledge in social media. Ability to work independently and ideate, write and put together features, preferred.

Examples of work performed:

• Hosting or Reporting for pre-game, intermissions or half-times, and post-game shows.
• Sideline Reporter for professional, collegiate or high school game broadcasts.
• Hosting podcasts.
• Potential for being involved with Altitude Sports Radio and hosting shows.
• Hosting or Reporting for other programming such as betting shows, golf programming, college sports or other shows as assigned.
• Story ideation and creation of features on teams and players.
• Must attend team press conferences, practices and other events involving team(s) as assigned
• Creation of content for Altitude , Altitude’s social channels, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube or for other Network related platforms.
• Voice-over work for commercials, promotions, PSA’s or other projects as assigned.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments on projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum
• High School diploma required;
• At least 2-3 years minimum of relevant hosting and/or reporting experience
• Extensive knowledge of the sports and teams that Altitude covers
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others
• Knowledge of social media such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Preferred
• College degree is preferred
• Previous television or industry experience is preferred
• Experience editing non-linear systems is preferred
• Ability to work outside normal business hours

Compensation

• Minimum salary is $150,000 and dependent on experience
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
