We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Licensed Sales Agent to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greets and welcomes customers, determines nature of business, assists customers and provides information about services or refers customers to appropriate individuals.
- Promptly answers telephone in a professional and friendly manner. Provides information and/or service to callers, takes detailed messages or transfers calls to appropriate individuals.
- Receives, receipts, and processes customer payments daily according to established procedures.
- Maintains and balances thorough records of all receipts and disbursements.
- Compiles and maintains client folders, lists, and other records as required.
- Perform account reviews for existing clients.
- Cross-sell existing clients on all lines of business.
- Directly responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and selling new insurance business and the maintenance and service of existing policies and policyholders.
- Adheres to guidelines established by the underwriting department for the acquisition of new business and the retention of existing business.
- Ability to field underwrite new risks.
- Obtains and inputs information for insurance quotes as authorized by Agency Sales Manager.
- Contacts potential customers and inquires about type and expiration dates for current insurance coverage as requested by Agency Sales Manager.
- Types/processes new member welcome letters and other correspondence, certificates of insurance, new business applications, binders of coverage, claims reports, transmittals, memos, forms, and other general correspondence.
- Processes insurance policy endorsements and obtains and maintains appropriate documentation and signatures as dictated by company rules and insurance regulations.
- Provides excellent customer service to all external and internal customers and maintains a good working relationship with field and Home Office personnel.
- Utilize social media for marketing endeavors.
- General understanding of Farm Bureau products and policy language.
- Educate client on products.
Requirements
- Valid insurance license is required or can be obtained within a set period of time.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess client needs accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
