Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant PRN-Float. This individual may fill in shifts in Fargo and Grand Forks locations. They will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or those requiring assistance in their daily lives. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and attention. This role involves working closely with clients in their homes or group settings, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintaining their dignity and independence.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients in managing their medication schedules and administration as needed.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as per company policies.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in senior care is highly desirable.
- Background in social work or home care settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices, including ADLs, medication administration, and dementia care techniques.
- Experience working in a group home or similar environment is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Requirements:
**All applicants must have an ACTIVE CNA, or QSP along with a Drivers License**
