Preschool Teacher (Afternoons) — Krishna Scholars
San Jose, CA · Part-time · $23/hour
Krishna Scholars is a small, licensed home-based preschool and daycare rooted in Vedic values, serving children in a warm, nurturing environment. We're looking for a caring, energetic assistant teacher for our afternoon shift.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (6 hours/day)
Pay: $25/hour
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of young children at all times
- Lead and support age-appropriate activities, crafts, and play
- Help with meals, nap transitions, hygiene, and diaper changes
- Assist with light classroom cleanup and daily routines
- Support our devotional activities (kirtan, storytelling, Sanskrit verses)
We're looking for someone who:
- Genuinely loves working with young children
- Is active, attentive, and reliable
- Is comfortable in a vegetarian, onion- and garlic-free environment
- Is familiar with or open to Vedic/Hindu culture and values
- Has childcare experience (preferred) and can pass a background check
