The Role
We are hiring a Human Resources Director to own and lead the entire HR function at Krise Services.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building and managing the systems, processes, and structure that support our people and our growth.
While recruiting is an important part of the role, the primary focus is strong HR leadership—including employee relations, compliance, performance management, and building scalable systems for a growing field-based workforce.
This role reports directly to ownership and works closely with department leaders across the business.
What You’ll Own1. HR Leadership & Operations
- Own and lead all HR functions across a ~100-person organization
- Build, implement, and maintain HR policies, systems, and processes
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain employee records, documentation, and HR systems (Paycom)
- Partner with accounting to support accurate and timely payroll processing
2. Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
- Support managers in leading their teams, providing feedback, and holding accountability
- Build and maintain structured performance management systems
- Ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and legally sound
3. Culture, Retention & Organizational Development
- Help build and reinforce a performance-driven, accountable culture
- Develop retention strategies for both field and office employees
- Support leadership in developing team members and future leaders
- Implement practical engagement and recognition initiatives that resonate with a trades workforce
4. Recruiting & Workforce Planning
- Oversee and support full-cycle recruiting across field and office roles
- Partner with department leaders to forecast hiring needs
- Build and maintain recruiting processes and pipelines
- Improve hiring consistency, quality, and onboarding effectiveness
5. Strategic Partnership
- Act as a key partner to ownership and leadership on people-related decisions
- Help design organizational structure as the company grows
- Identify gaps in people, systems, and processes—and implement solutions
What We’re Looking ForExperience
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility
- Prior experience in construction, home services, commercial trades, or a field-based workforce strongly preferred
- Experience managing HR in a growing company (~50–200 employees ideal)
- Hands-on experience with payroll support and HR systems (Paycom experience is a plus)
