Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer to support the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of mission?critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on expertise with mainframe technologies, including COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, IMS?DB, and associated tools. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, a commitment to reliability, and the ability to provide comprehensive 24/7/365 production support for high?availability systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement new and existing mainframe business applications.
- Provide continuous production support, including troubleshooting and resolution of system issues to ensure maximum system stability and availability.
- Develop and maintain interfaces, reports, and utilities to support core business functions.
- Conduct system integration testing and support user acceptance testing activities.
- Review, enhance, and debug existing programs to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams, to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
Technical Environment
- Languages & Tools: COBOL, JCL, Changeman, File?Manager, IBM Debug Tool, dBeaver, IWS Job Scheduler, MQMON, TSO/ISPF

Required Qualifications
- 5 to 15 years of progressive, hands-on experience with:
- COBOL
- DB2
- JCL
- IMS?DB
- CICS
- VSAM
- Proven experience supporting highly available systems in a 24/7/365 production environment.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem?solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using enterprise job scheduling tools such as IWS, CA7.
- Knowledge of mainframe debugging and file management utilities.
- Exposure to Agile or DevOps methodologies and practices.
