Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to meet quality standards
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure consistency and safety
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling practices and maintaining hygiene standards
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment using safe lifting practices
- Buss tables and clear dishes promptly to maintain cleanliness in dining areas and support efficient service
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing when required
- Support banquet events by preparing food stations, serving guests, and ensuring smooth operation during large functions
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food handling and safety protocols
- Familiarity with kitchen operations including cooking, food preparation, and heavy lifting techniques
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide excellent guest services
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to manage orders efficiently
- Knowledge of hospitality standards gained through hotel or culinary experience is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy lifting requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
