Duties
- Assist with preparing surfaces for flooring installation using hand tools and power tools.
- Support senior installers in laying tiles, carpeting, hardwood, or laminate flooring according to project specifications.
- Learn to read schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Help with site preparation tasks such as demolition, surface leveling, and moisture mitigation.
- Participate in floor care activities including buffing, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Aid in the installation of fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking, and cabinet setups as needed for complete room finishes.
Requirements
- Strong interest in construction trades with a focus on flooring installation and related fields.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn about tile laying, caulking, carpentry, restoration industry practices, and fixture installation.
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting materials, and working at heights or on uneven surfaces. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your knees for extended periods of time.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with experienced tradespeople.
