What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assistant - Butter and Milk Packaging position at Kriemhild Dairy Farms - Creamery?
We're searching for some hardworking individuals to help us make and package our gourmet butter and organic milk in our facility in beautiful Hamilton, NY.
The production assistant job is a physical job. It includes long periods of being on your feet (often at a hustling pace) and periodic lifting of 30-50lbs.
Responsibilities include:
- taking apart and cleaning equipment
- cleaning the facility
- maintaining records of production
- safe food handling
- packaging various sizes of containers of butter
- bottling milk
- labeling and palletizing
- Experience in CIP desired, but we will train the right employee.
Starting pay depends on experience with increase after a period of 2-4 weeks. Position is varied time, 25-40 hours a week over 3-5 days a week (depending on incoming milk, outgoing orders and cleaning performed). You will be notified of the expected schedule before the first day of work for the week. We try to be flexible around peoples' schedules and appointments.
Ability to work with a team and keep a positive attitude are very important. Keep in mind that CLEANING and FOOD SAFETY are a priority for this position and will be a big part of this work.
