An exciting opportunity to join a long-established boutique law firm specializing in Real Estate Management. The Firm is actively seeking an attorney with 1 to 2 years’ experience to join and grow with our Firm. This is a full-time on-site role located in Burlington, Massachusetts. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starting team player who possesses strong interpersonal and research and writing skills. Must have reliable transportation.
Tasks Include:
- Interview new clients and meet with existing clients to render legal advice.
- Perform legal research on a multitude of Real Estate topics.
- Travel to Housing and District Courts to argue motions and attend other pre-trial court appearances before a judge and conduct trials.
- Draft legal documents; including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and repayment agreements.
- Track and enter billable time.
- Achieve assigned billable goals.
- Maintain a professional attitude and presence within the office.
- Complete ongoing professional development through employer sponsored training with MCLE, MBA and REBA.
Qualifications:
- Experience and proficiency in conducting Legal Research
- Strong Negotiation skills and the ability to represent clients effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts
- Prior experience in real estate law or litigation is a plus
