Position Overview:

The Fundraising/Development Manager works closely and collaboratively with the Executive Director and Donor Relations Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive philanthropy plan for Krempels Brain Injury Center. The annual revenue goal is approximately $1 million with a targeted growth of 3-5% annually. This position is focused on Events, Corporate Partnerships, and Grants. The Fundraising / Development Manager works collaboratively with the Donor Relation Manager to help the organization reach its individual giving goals and targets.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute annual development plan with the Executive Director and Donor Relations Manager including Events, Corporate Partnerships, and Grants, working with the Donor Relations Manager on Individual Giving as needed.
  • Oversees revenue targets and performance metrics to meet the organization’s annual strategic revenue goals across Events, Corporate Partnerships, and Grants.
  • Responsible for keeping the donor management system (Little Green Light) up to date for both revenues and expenses for events and community relations activities. Works with the Accounting Coordinator as needed to ensure monthly reconciliation between LGL and QuickBooks (the accounting system of record).
  • Collaboratively develop strategy with the Community Relations Specialist to market Krempels events and highlight corporate partnerships and grantors.
  • Help ensure board, staff, and volunteers are actively engaged, trained, and supported in their roles as they relate to events and community engagement activities.
  • Manages all aspects of logistics including timelines, marketing and program materials, and any other required applications, approvals, or forms required for events, corporate partnerships, and grants.
  • Acts as main contact/liaison for contractors/vendors/committees working with Krempels on events, grants, and overall marketing efforts for the organization.

 

Education & Related Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in nonprofit events, grants, and corporate partnership management.

  • Lead with integrity, emotional intelligence, agility, and belief in and passion for the mission.
  • Ability to engage with the Krempels Center community of brain injury survivors and their caregivers.
  • Stellar communication, collaboration, and project management skills.


Project Management Acumen: 
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality work in a busy work environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with attention to grammar, editing, and compelling prose.
  • Strong listening skills, with an effective ability to tell the stories of others.
  • Thoughtful interpersonal/collaboration skills.
  • Cooperative, flexible work style.
  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Aptitude in Microsoft 365 and development databases (Little Green Light, a plus).
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings.
  • Demonstrated social media and online design skills (e.g., Canva, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Microsoft 365 suite proficiency.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings.

 

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
  • Routine office environment.
  • Some nights / weekend work is required.
  • Must have your own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and adequate insurance.
