Our Portsmouth Team is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer that will develop a diverse portfolio of mechanical engineering projects with a focus on the design, construction, and maintenance of complex mechanical systems. About The Role
Our Portsmouth Team is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer that will develop a diverse portfolio of mechanical engineering projects with a focus on the design, construction, and maintenance of complex mechanical systems. The successful candidate will utilize their experience to provide solutions to a diverse clientele that includes multinational industry leaders. Your day to day will include:
- Overseeing and executing office and field engineering projects which can include major design and construction projects from clients based in Canada, the US, and the globe
- Preparing detailed plans, calculations, and specifications related to a wide variety of engineering projects
- Preparing proposals, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents for mechanical and multidiscipline engineering projects
- Assist in field surveys as required throughout the project life cycle
- Preparing detailed engineering reports and providing written and oral updates regarding the progress and completion of engineering projects
- Perform QA/QC reviews throughout the design development process
- Working directly with clients to develop project options and alternatives, provide engineering guidance for project planning and development, field investigations, and critical issues
- Collaborating with multi discipline groups within KOA to develop and deliver integrated projects
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineering License or in process to obtain
- 2-10 years of postgraduate experience in Mechanical and/or Industrial engineering design
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with team members and clients in a multi-disciplined environment
- Relevant project experience in heavy industrial projects such as manufacturing, mining, material handling, power generation, and/or oil & gas
- Ability to travel (Anticipated travel not to exceed 25%)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
