What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at Kreative Kids Preparatory Academy?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To be directly responsible for the daily operations of a classroom.
- To provide children with a safe, loving, and nurturing environment
- To meet children’s needs in all areas – physical, emotional, social, and cognitive
- To interact with children throughout the day by sitting on the floor and engaging children in play, activities, and conversation
- To be coordinate lesson planning for the classroom that meets or exceeds Center requirements
- To provide parent communication, implement activities, clean classroom
- To help prepare and maintain an appropriate classroom environment that provides safety and stimulates the development
- To carry out positive discipline as established by the Center
- To see that program goals are implemented
- To be sensitive and responsive to parents and to act as a resource person to them
- To attend staff meetings as required and relay information to other classroom staff as needed
- To be responsible for classroom record keeping
- To maintain a clean environment, both in the classroom and in other areas used by children
- To maintain and build a supportive team
- Maintain 24 hours or more of training in the areas of child development or early childhood education on a yearly basis
- Responsible for following personnel manual and following all school policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree or a Child Development Associate’s Degree from a credited college or university. Preferred
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and interact with children
- Must complete the required food handler & childcare courses

Pay: $16.15 - $19.05 per hour
