Overview
I have a certified, in home daycare in Prospect and am seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join my team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will play a crucial role in supporting the development of preschool and toddler-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Supervise children during activities to ensure their safety and engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall development of each child.
- Provide care for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Observe and assess children's development to tailor educational approaches accordingly.
Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Experience in toddler care or babysitting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
