Security Officers – Armed ACT 235
Client Site: Perry County, PA
Full Time - Academic Year
Starting Jan 2026
Responsibilities
- Provide a professional security presence at assigned client sites
- Patrol premises, monitor access points, and report safety or security concerns
- Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports via Belfry Software
- Respond to emergencies and enforce district policies and procedures
- Maintain communication with clients, supervisors, and fellow officers
- Follow all company and site-specific security protocols
- BUILD relationships with students, staff and families
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Current CCW & Act 235 Certification
- Level II or III Holster
- Obtain in house Phazzer Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and work in various environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required to client site; Company vehicle provided when working.
- Flexible availability for additional after school events
- All candidates must pass a mandatory background check prior to start date:
- PSP Patch; Childline; FBI Fingerprints for School Employees; Act 24; Act 168; Act 67 - must be willing to obtain; Mantoux Test
- Required to attend an in-person orientation prior to being scheduled for any shifts
- Military veterans and active duty members receive an additional $0.25/hour bonus
Compensation
Starting Pay: $23.00 / hour
Overtime: Paid for any hours over 40 hours per week, weighted according to applicable law
Benefits: Employee Only for 30 Hours (FT) Only eligible after 6 months
Paid Time Off: 24 hours earned after probationary period is satisfied
