Building Maintenance Technician
Location: Sunset, SC

Classification: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Reports To: Building Maintenance Manager
Position Summary
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the condition, safety, and functionality of buildings and facilities throughout The Reserve at Lake Keowee. This position performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and general facility upkeep.
This role helps ensure that all amenity buildings and operational facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for members, guests, and staff. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing a wide variety of maintenance tasks in a private club environment.
Work Schedule
This position follows a four-day work schedule:
- Friday: 8-hour shift
- Saturday: 10-hour shift
- Sunday: 10-hour shift
- Monday: 8-hour shift
Flexibility may be required based on operational needs, inclement weather preparation, or facility maintenance priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform general maintenance and repair work across all company buildings and facilities.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment and facilities.
- Perform maintenance work in areas including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, painting, and finish work.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with facility setup, repairs, and upkeep of amenity buildings and operational areas.
Safety & Property Care
- Assist in ensuring all buildings and equipment comply with safety, security, and fire regulations.
- Support inclement weather preparation and post-weather cleanup efforts.
- Properly collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and designated materials.
- Maintain safe and clean work areas.
Member & Guest Interaction
- Interact professionally and courteously with members, guests, and staff.
- Represent The Reserve at Lake Keowee with a positive and service-oriented attitude.
Equipment & Vehicle Operation
- Safely operate company vehicles, golf carts, and utility vehicles when performing job duties.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
- Experience in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, or painting is preferred.
- HVAC experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment
This position regularly works in indoor and outdoor environments and may be exposed to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Employees may also be exposed to cleaning chemicals, maintenance materials, and moderate to high noise levels.
Travel
Employees may operate company vehicles to travel throughout The Reserve at Lake Keowee property and occasionally within a 50-mile radius when necessary for job duties.
