Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our Clovis team. The Ideal candidate will have 1 years of experience in field testing and inspection of soils and concrete, with ACI certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field and lab testing of soils, concrete, aggregates, and other construction materials in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and project specifications.
- Collect and record accurate data for engineering analysis and reporting.
- Perform quality inspections on concrete and masonry work.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to address any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and ensure proper safety procedures are followed on job sites.
Qualifications:
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I Certification (preferred)
- ICC Soils Inspector Certification (required)
- Construction experience
- Experience with soil density testing, concrete sampling, and construction site inspections
- Understanding of ASTM, AASHTO, and local regulatory standards
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for company vehicle use)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to walk, stand, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods
