Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lounge Manager to oversee operations of our upscale lounge. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, marketing strategy, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and optimizing operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in restaurant lounge management, hospitality management, or food service management is essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate lounge operations, including food preparation, beverage service, and customer interactions
- Lead and train staff in service standards, POS systems, and food safety protocols
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels to ensure smooth service delivery
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
- Manage shift scheduling, staffing levels, and staff performance to optimize productivity
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly to maintain high service quality
- Collaborate with culinary teams on food production, menu offerings, and special events such as banquets or catering services
- Implement training & development programs for staff to enhance skills in food preparation, customer service, and management practices
- Oversee kitchen management activities related to food safety, food production, and overall operational efficiency
- Assist in budgeting processes and cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Uphold the lounge’s brand standards while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Requirements
- Proven management experience within a full service restaurant or hospitality environment; supervisory experience is essential
- Strong background in food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Familiarity with POS systems; cash handling expertise required
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, staff training & development, and shift management
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; experience with fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to plan, execute, monitor specific marketing strategy
- Hospitality management or restaurant management background preferred; hotel or catering experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and conduct staff evaluations effectively
- Bilingual - Armenian or Russian preferred
