- Prepare and assemble deli products with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Assist customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and upselling items to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Support food handling procedures, including slicing, packaging, and serving food in accordance with safety guidelines
- Proven experience in food preparation or food service environments, including quick service or fast food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering duties including cash handling and sales calculations
- Previous restaurant or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
