Automotive Title Clerk

Krause Toyota America's longest running Toyota dealership is looking for a professional Title Clerk / general Accounting office support.

Job Summary
This position is multi-faceted with core work being title work. Additional duties include but are not limited to Account Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Benefits, and assisting with monthly closing. A professional who manages the paperwork involved in transferring vehicle ownership. They process title and registration documents, ensuring legal and accurate vehicle transfers. This includes preparing tax and title documents, submitting them to the DMV, and maintaining records of all title work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing Title and Registration: Handling the paperwork for transferring vehicle ownership, including new and used car deals, dealer trades, and out-of-state titles.
• Document Preparation: Preparing tax and title documents, payoff checks, and other legal documents related to vehicle transactions.
• Submitting Documents to DMV: Submitting necessary paperwork to the Department of Motor Vehicles for title and registration processing.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining organized records of all title work, including logs of contracts, and ensuring accuracy of information.
• Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date on all state and federal regulations regarding vehicle titles and registrations.
• Liaison: Communicating with customers, other dealerships, and the DMV to resolve issues and ensure smooth transactions.
• Inventory Management: In some cases, title clerks may also be involved in maintaining records for the dealership's vehicle inventory.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent .
• Strong computer and data entry skills .
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to vehicle titles .
• Excellent customer service and communication skills .
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently .
• Attention to detail and organizational skills .
• Familiarity with dealership management software: (Reynolds and State paperwork processing sites).

Experience

• 2 year title clerk role preferred
• Familiarity with state DMV regulations and documentation requirements

Pay: $25.00 - $32.50 per hour
