Salary for this coaching position starts between $4,000–$7,000 per month, depending on experience and impact. Coaches will also have the opportunity to increase their pay beyond $7,000 per month once their training commission exceeds that amount. Top coaches can earn $100,000–$150,000 per year through training commission.
Kratos is the largest athletic performance and fitness gym in Lincoln, Nebraska, specializing in human performance. With 500 active clients, we work with:
- Athletes from 1st grade through the professional level
- Club and sports organizations throughout Lincoln
- General population clients pursuing a wide range of fitness, performance, and health goals
Training is delivered through group, private 1-on-1, and semi-private training.
Kratos currently has 3 locations in Lincoln, NE, and coaches may work between locations depending on scheduling, skillset, and interests.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree and CSCS certification, or the ability to attain the CSCS quickly
- 3 years of experience working in a private-sector facility similar to Kratos or in the collegiate sector, with experience in sports performance and/or personal training
- 3 years of experience coaching speed development
- 3 years of experience coaching athletes in a group training environment
- Strong understanding of developing overall athleticism, including:
- Speed and acceleration
- Agility and change of direction
- Power
- Strength
- Core stability
- Knowledge of injury risk reduction and prevention techniques
- High school and/or college athletics background preferred
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with athletic performance groups for athletes from 1st–12th grade
- Coach private and semi-private training for athletes and general population clients
- Lead and assist with large-group club and team athletic performance sessions
- Coach speed, agility, power, strength, and overall athletic development
- Build strong relationships with athletes, parents, clients, and members
- Provide a high level of energy, professionalism, and service during every session
- Assist with daily facility operations, including scheduling, communication, organization, and cleaning
- Participate in continuing education and professional development, including:
- Weekly team meetings
- Internal coach development
- Conferences
- Books and educational resources
- Ongoing feedback and evaluation
