What are the responsibilities and job description for the Subcontracts Administrator position at Kratos Defense?
Kratos MACH TB 2.0 Program is currently seeking Subcontract Administrators in either Huntsville or Brimingham, Alabama. Subcontract Administrators use knowledge of both government and commercial contracts laws and regulations to perform assignments and implement effective application of subcontract administration processes and procedures. Responsible for interfacing with management and with other internal and external customers, as well as subcontractor entities to proactively solve subcontract issues. Experience with DoD, and/or other U.S. government agencies strongly desired. Experience working on proposals, issuing subcontractor Requests for Proposals, subcontracts, and task orders. Good command of FAR, DFAR, agency supplements, and industry standard terms and conditions. Data analysis skills are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide communication to internal and external customers regarding proposal efforts and subcontract negotiations and subcontract administration. Prepares and completes non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements. Prepares contractual documents (e.g. subcontracts, task orders, modifications, etc.) Completes customer required vendor compliance certifications and other compliance certifications.
- Assist in the administration of standard government and commercial subcontracts contracts with limited assistance from and supervision by senior personnel.
- Examine subcontract administration outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Position Responsibilities:
- Pre-Award/Proposal Process: Assists in preparing and reviewing subcontractor Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Ensure adherence to Kratos policies and guidelines relating to the preparation and distribution of subcontractor RFPs and collection of required compliance forms.
- Post Award/Contract Performance Management: May monitor contract expenditures, support and participate in audit responses, and interface with internal and external customers as appropriate and necessary. Ensures that contract documents can be received from customer portal sites. Ensures that Contract documents are properly executed and filed.

Experience and Skills:
Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree - strongly preferred.
- 4-7 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of federal procurement regulations (FAR, DFAR, and other agency FAR supplements) and experience with commercial business principles a plus.
- Proven ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment with limited supervision; excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Detail oriented, accurate, and thorough in working with both calculations and text of contract agreements.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to utilize MS Office and other software packages as required.
- US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
