ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist engineers with requirements development, design, analysis, testing, and validation activities.
- Perform data collection, data analysis, and documentation for engineering studies.
- Support the creation and revision of documentation, specifications, and procedures.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and process improvement efforts.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and operations.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and quality standards.
- Other duties may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
- Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.
- Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, industrial, software, or related discipline), or other technical degree programs.
- Familiarity with programming or simulation tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Simulink).
- Exposure to engineering documentation, test equipment, or lab environments.
- Office environment.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
