The ideal candidate is a versatile developer who can identify operational needs, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver reliable, scalable tools for the business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Design, build, and maintain custom software applications to support day-to-day business operations.
- Develop and optimize internal tools, automations, and workflows that improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Build Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable business insights.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand operational challenges, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Integrate data from various internal systems and ensure data models are accurate and well-structured.
- Troubleshoot existing applications, resolve bugs, and implement enhancement requests.
- Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and version control.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify opportunities for additional automation or tooling.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Experience building internal business applications, workflows, or automation tools.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report building).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a part-time schedule.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills for gathering requirements and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
- Background in operations, manufacturing, or business processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software development
- Security certification (Preferred)
This position is required to work predominately in an office setting. Entry to laboratory environment will require use of PPE:

- Perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
- Sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area.
- Stand for extended periods of tiem without being able to leave the work area.
- Climb stairs in performing the work.
- WAlk for reasonable distances in performing the work.
