The Software PO will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.

5-D Systems, Inc. a KRATOS company, is seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill a Software Product Owner (PO) position within the Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Network Applications Team (NAT). The Software PO will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the network application development and updates/patches for the NAT.
- Reviewing/understanding systems engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
- Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for network tasks and stories and be responsible for their verification.
- Responsible for working with the cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network.
- Working with program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
- The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership and reporting on status; recommended courses of actions, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Basic Qualifications
- The candidate must have a good understanding of networking to include IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, networking device configuration, and network status monitoring. The desired candidate would also have a broad understanding of SNMPv3.
- The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.
- Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics
- Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above
- Candidate must hold or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher
- US citizen
- Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS is desired, but not required
- Leadership in your domain area and ability to champion your ideas, architectures, and designs
- Independent critical thinking
- Experience in JIRA/Confluence is desired, but not required
- Security and Linux experience is desired, but not required
- Agilist certification is desired, but not required
