Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Associate performs a full range of cleaning and sanitation work throughout the company facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms using established practices and procedures
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture
• Empty wastebaskets and trash containers
• Clear cardboard waste from production and other areas
• Refill restroom dispensers
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, buffers, vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Wash walls and equipment
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis
• Water company interior plants
• Wash accessible interior windows and clean blinds
• Assist with running daily business errands
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history
• Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD
  
  

Other Job Functions

• Escort vending representatives while on campus
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
• Other duties may be assigned

• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
• Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
• Ability to adhere to workplace rules
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to read and comprehend labels and instructions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• HS diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years of experience
  
  

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Office and production environment
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motion using common tools of the trade
• Must be able to climb a ladder, bend, squat, reach and perform tasks in small spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors
• Ability to work overtime or weekends as required
