We are opening a kratom distribution office in Rochester, NH in the next month or so and are looking for sharp individuals with bookkeeping, AP/AR and inventory experience. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards as well as keeping track of shipments & inventory. Your expertise will help support our organization’s financial health and provide valuable insights through precise record-keeping and reporting. - Manage and record all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Prepare journal entries, including debits and credits, to reflect financial activities properly
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify data integrity
- Assist with payroll processing and tax-related documentation in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Generate detailed financial reports, including budget analysis and financial statement writing, for internal review and external reporting
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP and governmental accounting standards
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with financial concepts like budgeting, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and tax preparation is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail with data entry accuracy
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation efficiently
- Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration across teams
