You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, supporting food safety standards and smooth restaurant operations. Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following proper food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support chefs and kitchen staff.
• Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain cleanliness in dining areas.
• Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique.
• Follow all sanitation protocols to uphold kitchen health and safety standards.
• Support food handling and storage practices in compliance with food safety management policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is valued.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health standards is advantageous.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are a plus.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the culinary team.
• Prior catering, banquet, hotel, or culinary experience can enhance your fit for this role.
