Senior Systems Administrator (Linux & Windows)

12 Month Contract

Onsite – Downtown Dallas ,TX

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator with 8 years of hands-on expertise supporting Windows, Linux, VMware, and Nutanix environments. The ideal candidate will manage mixed server environments, ensure security compliance, support control system operations, and provide tier-3 technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Windows (2008–2019) and Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) servers.
• Manage VMware vSphere, vRealize Suite, vRA, vRO, Horizon View, and Nutanix.
• Perform server provisioning, lifecycle management, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Maintain virtualized environments and VDI infrastructure.
• Apply OS patches, updates, and ensure security baseline compliance (NERC CIP).
• Monitor server performance, health, utilization, and provide reporting.
• Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and control system operations.
• Collaborate with application, network, and security teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation for control system support.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Windows, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, ADFS, GPOs.
• Expertise with VMware, Hyper-V, virtualization tuning, high availability, and DR.
• Hands-on with RAID management, backups, automation, PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of file/print servers, load balancing, MS clusters, FT design.
• Experience with OEM hardware (Dell/HP), racking/cabling, and remote access tools.
• Troubleshooting experience across server hardware, OS, and virtualization layers.

Preferred

• Experience supporting Operations Technology (OT) or Control System environments.
• Background in working with large, complex, multi-team environments.
