Available Shift:
- Monday through Friday
- Overnight - 3rd shift - 8-hour shifts from 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
RATE: $30.00 -$36.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing equipment malfunctions, and maintaining building conditions to achieve world class performance and efficiency.
- Safety: Ensure proper safety processes and techniques are followed.
- Project Realization: Contribute to the installation of new machinery and equipment ensuring all necessary requirements are met.
- Preventative and Facility Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and testing of production relevant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure legal and safety requirements are met.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Systematically troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair breakdowns using electrical schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic equipment to minimize downtime.
- Electrical Work: Install, troubleshoot, and repair/replace electrical circuits and components. Understand control systems, PLC inputs and outputs, and basic set up parameters for VFDs.
- Mechanical Work: Cross train and support mechanical technicians for professional growth and development.
- Documentation: Effectively describe failures and repairs through written text when tracking performed maintenance tasks. Make necessary changes to electrical schematics during upgrades or major modifications.
- Support and Communication: Communicate and cooperate with coworkers and supervisors across all departments to understand KRAIBURG TPE’s production process requirements, support up time, and contribute to continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) year Technical School and or 2-5 years of on-the-job training
- Safety oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Arc Flash training.
- Twin screw extruder technology.
- PLC input/outputs, motor controls, automation.
- Metal Fabrication. (TIG/MIG, Oxy/Ace torch, plasma cutter)
- Inspection and setup of VFDs
- Knowledge of NFPA and NEC regulations.
- Reading and interpreting technical manuals and electrical schematics.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
- Systematic troubleshooting
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Loss in weight feeders/dosing systems.
- Operating vehicles and heavy lifting devices (Forklift, scissor lift, cranes, etc.)
- Technology and software. (CMMS, Word, Excel, InTouch, etc.)
