In this position, you will play a key role in developing land, structures, and outdoor recreational spaces by applying strong design principles, engineering awareness, and a commitment to delivering exceptional project outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Develop site plans, specs, and cost estimates for land development
- Prepare detailed construction drawings and technical documents builders can trust
- Manage team of construction plan drafters to maintain alignment and quality
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to elevate design and construction of projects
- Analyze site conditions including drainage, environmental factors, and layout constraints
- Assist and coordinate the permitting processes for projects
- Manage subconsultant designers to maintain alignment and quality
- Research new products
- Develop planting plans that balance aesthetics and function
- Coordinate with internal estimators and sales coordinators on bids and project costing
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred; however, strong relevant experience may be considered an equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in architectural design or construction design management
- Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, or support drafting teams and collaborate with external consultants.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, construction methods, and building systems
- Solid knowledge of building codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, and project management software
- Ability to interpret complex drawings and technical documents with precision
- A professional engineer or landscape architect license is considered an asset.
