Kraft Werks Engineering is a privately owned company located in Medina, Ohio in need of an experienced Machinist to join our team. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated professional who will be able to meet challenges and surpass customer expectations.
Machinist Job Responsibilities
Set-up and operate Mill-Turn Lathe. The position will require the individual to perform set-up, programming, tool setting and all related activity to start the job on a CNC Mill-Turn Lathe. Responsible for the safety and operation of the machine tool.
Machinist Skills/Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Journeyperson machinist or at least 4 years experience on set up and operation of CNC Mill-Turn Lathe.
- Must know application of proper inspection and gauging techniques.
- Length to diameter ratio application of cutting tools.
- Knowledgeable with speeds and feeds of HSS and carbide tooling.
- Thorough knowledge of chip breaker in cutting tools.
- Understand and can recognize sharp tools, drills, end mills, etc.
- Must know crane and jib hoist operations and rigging application.
- Must be proficient with reading prints in complex designs.
- Interacts with design engineering on form, fit and function.
- Must be familiar with FANUC controls and be able to troubleshoot G code programs.
- Proficient with shop math (trigonometry, metric conversions, soft and hard formulas).
- Must be able to evaluate CNC code and math application to size, location and true positional
tolerances. - Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
- Actively contribute to continually strive to improve/enhance safety and the company's Quality Management System.
