About the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue

The Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue (KITDP) is leading a defining effort of our time: ensuring that emerging technologies advance freedom—not authoritarian control.

We are building a Global Trusted Tech Network of governments, companies, and leaders committed to deploying trusted technologies aligned with democratic values. Our work spans national security, economic statecraft, and global technology leadership—and is increasingly central to how nations compete and cooperate.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Vice President, Global Engagement & Programs to serve as the senior execution leader for KITDP’s global engagement portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Global Engagement Officer (CGEO), this role is responsible for translating strategy into action—ensuring that engagements lead to activated partnerships, high-impact convenings, and delivered programs and solutions. This is a builder-operator role at the center of a fast-scaling institution. You will bring structure, discipline, and excellence to a complex portfolio that includes global convenings, partner networks, Advisory Council activation, and flagship initiatives such as the Global Trusted Technology Standard.

*In your cover letter, please include a brief note outlining your experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs and driving execution at scale.

Responsibilities

Translate Strategy into Execution
  • Partner with the CGEO to operationalize global engagement strategy across countries, partners, and priority initiatives
  • Refine and implement country and partner value propositions, engagement packages, and maturity models
  • Build clear engagement pathways, activation playbooks, and program designs
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, positioning, and offerings across all engagements
Mobilize the Network Through Engagements & Events
  • Oversee the design and execution of high-level convenings annually, ensuring each aligns with strategic priorities, advances partners along the maturity model, and drives clear follow-through.
  • Lead end-to-end execution through the engagement team, including agendas, materials, logistics, and run-of-show, while maintaining a standard of operational excellence.
  • Mobilize and coordinate engagement across government, corporate, and Advisory Council stakeholders, serving as a key liaison to Purdue to integrate faculty and research into programs.
  • Own CRM discipline for global engagement, ensuring accurate tracking of partner status, engagement history, and pipeline progression.
Deliver Programs & Solutions at Scale
  • Global Trusted Tech Standard- Serve as Program Lead for the Global Trusted Technology Standard (xGTT), owning end-to-end execution, including workplans, partner coordination, and delivery oversight. Ensure xGTT is integrated across engagements, caucuses, and advisory efforts.
  • Government & Country Programs- Operationalize and scale Trusted Tech Caucuses and translate partner engagement into scoped, staffed, and delivered programs, including advisory services, pilots, and joint initiatives with U.S. and allied governments.
What Success Looks Like
  • Execution Excellence: Engagements consistently translate into activated partnerships and programs
  • Network Activation: Advisory Council and partners are actively engaged and contributing
  • Program Delivery: Flagship initiatives (including xGTT) are delivered on time, at quality, and at scale
  • Scalability: Systems, playbooks, and processes enable growth without reliance on individuals
  • Alignment: Strategy, messaging, and execution are consistent across all engagements
  • Impact: KITDP’s global engagement directly advances trusted technology adoption across allied ecosystems

  • Strong operational leadership: program management, team coordination, and delivery discipline
  • Experience working across government, industry, and/or academic ecosystems
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-visibility environments with senior stakeholders
  • Systems thinker with the ability to build repeatable, scalable processes
