Summary
KR Contracting is hiring for the positions of STI- Security Training Instructor. The trainer must be an individual of unquestionable integrity who displays a mature attitude and exercises good judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Screens to maintain screening awareness and technical proficiency in order to instruct.
- Manage and deliver training material and maintain communication with supervisors concerning training issues that may reveal security-screening weaknesses or vulnerabilities.
- Must be screener certified and meet any recurrent training, evaluation and recertification requirements established by TSA in order to remain qualified for the training and screening functions.
- Instructors shall maintain certifications for all areas they deliver training, including passenger, baggage and dual-function training.
- STIs shall also complete annual quality assurance assessments and shall receive a grade of “Meets Expectations”.
- Supervise and guide basic students during their training period.
- Document both the completion and failure of students to meet minimum training standards.
The STI (Security Training Instructor) must meet the requirements listed below:
- Formal instructor training from a recognized source (e.g., U.S. military, Federal training program, college/university or trade school, or private corporation); or
- Instructor certification from a recognized instructor-training program (e.g., ASTD, CTTI); or
- Minimum of 2 years adult-learning classroom instruction experience
