ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, you are the engine that keeps the restaurant moving. You will be instrumental in helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This position is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people and thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to KPOT's standards.
Assist in food preparation and ensure all ingredients are fresh and ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate timely service.
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
Manage time to ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and all dishes are ready for use.
Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration.
Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
Communicate clearly and concisely with the front-of-house and management regarding allergy orders.
Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Functions:
Prior kitchen experience is not necessary but preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and a passion for food.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces.
