The Video Operations Specialist will be responsible for leading the implementation, maintenance, and support of video conferencing and audiovisual collaboration solutions in corporate environments. This role requires solid technical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with infrastructure teams, technical support, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support AV systems in meeting rooms and collaboration spaces.
- Provide support for video conferencing and AV incidents.
- Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and system upgrades.
- Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
- Working knowledge of AV technologies from: Crestron, Extron, Logitech, Cisco, QSC
- Familiarity with IP networks, SIP/H.323 protocols, and UC platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Webex integration.
- Basic understanding of room automation and AV control systems. Basic understanding of IP telephony and voice systems (Cisco CUCM, Webex Calling, Poly/HP, Teams Phone).
- Familiarity with SIP, QoS, audio codecs, and call routing.
- Ability to support voice-video integration and troubleshoot audio issues.
- Proficient in ServiceNow or similar platforms.
- Accurate and structured ticket documentation: issue, diagnosis, resolution, and recommendations.
- Incident classification and escalation management.
- Reporting on incident trends and resolution metrics.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, IT, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in corporate AV support or live event production.
- Proficiency with AV technologies such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Dante, Zoom Rooms, and digital signage platforms.
- Strong understanding of signal flow, networking basics, and AV over IP.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and work flexible hours as needed.
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
- Crestron or Extron programming certifications
- Dante Level 1 or higher
