KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Enterprise Contracting Center - Federal Government Subcontracts team.
Responsibilities:
- Apply a fundamental understanding of federal government subcontracting and participate in preparing and negotiating non-disclosure, teaming, subcontract agreements and strategic go-to-market activities between the firm and other companies
- Provide administrative oversight for a subcontract portfolio with a revenue size of at least twenty-five million per year; administer subcontracts, including supporting negotiation, correspondence, documentation, certification, and regulatory reporting in coordination with subcontracts management; lead negotiations of subcontract terms and conditions from proposal stage to project close-out in accordance with relevant regulations and internal approvals
- Responsible for ensuring subcontracts related documents are maintained accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with customer and firm requirements; oversee work of subcontract coordinators, train on subcontract policies, procedures, and basic understanding of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements; work collaboratively with various stakeholders and coordinate approval of negotiations and subcontracts with appropriate management and internal reviews (including Office of General Counsel, and more); represent the firm in dealings with external customers, and interfaces with all levels of the delivery teams and functional support organizations
- Advise leadership and engagement management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compile and analyze data; and maintain historical subcontract information. Work with engagement team to monitor subcontractor/supplier performance and initiate corrective action, if needed
- Identify opportunities for innovation within executed tasks, processes and projects that contribute to the improved efficiency and effectiveness of the workgroup; ensure contracts information systems (internal/external) are accurate and maintained according to requirements/procedures
- Responsible for ensuring subcontracts related documents are maintained accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with customer and firm requirements; oversee work of subcontract coordinators, train on subcontract policies, procedures, and basic understanding of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum three years of recent experience managing processes and projects, applying expertise to make concrete decisions that impact the organization, preferably within a large IT environment, professional services firm, or similar environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required
- Knowledge of multiple subcontract and solicitation types, the FAR, and the DFARS, with experience working under a DCMA approved purchasing system, background experience with CostPoint Purchasing System, Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification, membership in the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to work in a high-pressure, remote/distributed team environment and react quickly to problems and issues for multiple projects while applying critical thinking to each situation
- Proficient in Microsoft tools; capability to establish credible relationships and become a trusted advisor to engagement teams and business leadership; ability to advocate for leading contract lifecycle management practices, with an interest and acumen for understanding legal matters
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; ability prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead and support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
