KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Digital Trust & Safety to join our Advisory Services practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support in establishing thresholds for escalation based on review of trending data and proposing remediation plans that are customized to various integrity risk areas
- Oversee the management of digital safety projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations, while implementing effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment; promote professional development by training team members in the latest digital safety technologies and methodologies
- Stay updated on emerging digital threats and best practices, sharing valuable insights with clients and the KPMG team; contribute to thought leadership by engaging in industry forums and producing relevant content
- Collaborate with KPMG's other solutions, such as audit, tax, and advisory, to integrate services into broader solutions; work with global teams to leverage KPMG's international expertise in cybersecurity and digital safety
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum five years of recent experience in trust and safety, compliance, risk management, emerging technologies, or a related field within a digital environment; minimum five years of recent leadership experience managing large teams in digital safety
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, computer science, law, international affairs, or a related field is required
- Experience handling critical and sensitive incidents involving online abuse, security threats, and content moderation
- Ability to decompose risk and compliance monitoring, ensure integrity in meeting regulatory requirements, and understand jurisdictional nuances; awareness of and familiarity with trust and safety / transparency reporting metrics, including prevalence, content actioned, and user reports; able to synthesize trends across compliance data (issues, control testing, incidents) and external signals (social listening and adverse media, regulatory enforcement, externa research)
- Deep understanding of digital platforms, online community dynamics, and risks associated with emerging technologies and user-generated content; crisp writing and data visualization for executive reporting
- Expertise in global regulatory frameworks, privacy laws, and compliance requirements related to digital trust and safety
- Ability to travel as required
