KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Cyber Data Security and Protection to join our Advisory Services practice.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage technology and process solutions for clients to mitigate the risk of data compromise
- Develop technical requirements, evaluate vendor solutions, and oversee the architecture, design, and testing of data discovery, classification, and protection solutions for client
- Implement data protection measures for clients, focusing on securing both data-at-rest and data-in-motion
- Create and test Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules and policies in collaboration with clients to enhance their data security measures
- Advise clients on future challenges in data security, working collaboratively to improve their data protection capabilities and ensure they stay ahead of industry standards
- Contribute to KPMG's thought leadership by maintaining relationships with clients and vendors, supporting business development, and staying informed on industry trends in data risk and protection practices. Lead strategic growth initiatives and manage diverse teams across client engagements
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in technical architecture integrating data discovery/ classification/protection software into clients' infrastructure and applications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or eight years of relevant work is preferred. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CRISC
- Demonstrated experience in three or more of the following areas: data discovery, data classification, data tagging, data de-identification (masking, encryption, and more), data leakage/content monitoring and filtering (DLP), data access controls, secure messaging/email encryption, mobile device security, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data Rights Management (DRM), secure information storage, archival
- Experience with leading DSPM and DLP solutions, and capabilities (such as Cyera, BigID, Microsoft Purview, Varonis, Zscaler)
- Familiarity with User Behavior Analytics and Insider Threats
- Technical architecture experience integrating data protection software into clients' infrastructure; network architecture design, implementation, and administration
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
