KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, US Health & Welfare to join our Talent & Culture organization.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop multi‑year health and welfare strategies aligned to business goals, budget and market; participate with annual plan design, contribution setting and pricing using analytics, benchmarks, and participant feedback
- Oversee the administration of health and welfare programs (for example, medical, prescription, dental, vision, life/disability, commuter, FSA/HSA), implement new programs and changes to existing programs, support acquisitions/new subsidiaries and related vendor/process changes
- Manage vendor relationships; run RFPs, negotiate renewals, monitor service levels and oversee escalated member issues to ensure resolution
- Maintain robust governance processes for plan administration and audits, ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA; own required filings/audits (for example, Form 5500, nondiscrimination testing); maintain plan documents, SPDs and benefits policies
- Lead open enrollment end-to-end, including configuration, testing, data accuracy, communications, post‑enrollment review
- Serve as a trusted advisor to firm leadership, partners, and employees on benefits programs and health trends
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in health and welfare benefits, including strategy and administration
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, MHPAEA, IRS Section 125, and related plan operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior leaders and clearly articulate complex benefits topics
- Demonstrated success in plan design, vendor management, negotiations, and cost trend management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; strong analytical and financial acumen; capability to interpret claims/utilization data and present insights to leaders
