What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Design Estimator position at KPI Solutions?
The Project Estimator will work with account managers and the design team to create cost estimates, validate design parameters and help to manage the proposal creation process. The estimator will review plans, visit the proposed site as required, and estimate the cost to procure and implement the proposed system.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- BS/BA degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 experience designing or estimating MHE technologies and storage solutions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams on large projects
- Detail oriented with superb time management
- Strong communication skills – clear and concise interpersonal verbal and written
- Computer literacy – AutoCad, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project
- Must be able to thrive and succeed in an innovative environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity
- Able to perform high level data analysis, detailed cost tracking and reporting
- Experience with one or more of the following major conveyor manufacturers
- Intelligrated, Dematic, Automotion, Hytrol, TGW

Intermittent travel to KPI client/vendor Sites (up to 10%) required as necessary.
