Security Supervisor Research Triangle Park

Summmary:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, clients, contractors, employees, and executives by establishing and enforcing company security policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. This position is expected to function as both a corporate and field security professional and leader assisting with deploying, coordinating & employing security assets as assigned. This person will be involved with assisting with investigations, responding to emergencies, and effectively mitigating security-related incidents or credible threats to personnel, local offices, operations or remote sites as deemed appropriate. Must have experience operating within various CCTV and/or access control platforms. Normal schedule is Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM, however this position of leadership may require additional shift coverage as needed. Duties include but not limited to:

• Writes and reviews security-related documents such as incident reports, daily reports, tracking logs.
• Conducts security-related training when required.
• Order and maintain security-related supplies and equipment as needed.
• Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms following emergency response procedures.
• Assist with enforcing corporate and operational security policies as per the client and company policies.
• Create timely reports that present, and outline action take, remedy needed and/or result for client requested inquiries.
• Supervise, coach, monitor and develop team members for improved performance, carrying out close supervision of on-site security personnel.
• Plan, schedule (to reduce or eliminate overtime), organize and direct work, training personnel.
• Recommend applicants for employment or for discipline, termination, or retention.
• Professionally handle all sensitive and confidential information.
• Make suggestions to client and or management leadership to improve the security program.
• Make suggestions to senior security leaders to improve the security program.
• Provide assistance to customers: answer questions, handle complaints on a routine basis.
• AD HOC duties as assigned within the security arena as directed by contract or operations needs.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

? HS Diploma

? 2 years of private/corporate/contract security, military, and/or law enforcement experience

? Experience supervising and overseeing the work of others as a positive and influential leader

? Well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills

? Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

? Possess a valid driver?s license

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. Required to sit, stand, bend twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
