Supervisor of Environmental Services (Hospital)

KPC Promise Hospital of  SALT LAKE: The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Environmental Services program as directed by management. He/she ensures all patient rooms, offices, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Graduate or equivalent

2. Two years supervisory experience in environmental services, preferably in a hospital environment

3. Must be able to read, write, and speak English

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physical: Walking - up to 50% Standing - up to 70% Kneeling - up to 30%

Sitting - up to 20% Pushing - up to 30% Bending - up to 40%

Squatting - up to 25% Pulling - up to 30% Reaching - up to 30% Lifting - up to 75lbs Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90%

Mental: Stress Level: Low to Moderate

EXPOSURE RISK: Category II – Jobs in which required tasks normally do not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues but which could result in Category I exposure.

EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED: Computer, calculator, heavy duty washing machines, dryers, vacuum cleaners, heavy carts for transferring linen.
