Tech Echo (Cardiology) PD 8hr Varied

SUMMARY: The Echo cardiology Technologist will complete and/or assist the physician with the ordered diagnostic procedures.  The Echo Tech demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care and consistently performs according to the standards of the profession. The Echo cardiology Technologist may handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, which may result in possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and/or harmful elements. This position has the responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and care of the patient in the following age groups: infant, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric. He/she takes direction of the Cardiopulmonary Supervisor and the Medical Director. The Echo cardiology Technologist reports to the Department Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Experience: 1 (one) year experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Required License/ Certifications: BLS and MAB Certificate (90 days upon hire)
