Salary Range:

$73,000 – $98,000 annually

Schedule:

Full-time | On-site | Monday–Friday

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Director of Human Resources with a dotted line to the Corporate Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Position Summary

We are seeking two experienced Regional Schedulers to support our healthcare system’s nursing operations—one dedicated to the Inland Empire and one to Orange County facilities. Both roles will be based in Corona, CA and serve as critical partners in ensuring nursing schedules are complete, optimized, and aligned with patient care needs.
 
 The Regional Scheduler will work closely with Nurse Leaders, HR, and clinical operations to ensure real-time scheduling support, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and ensure shift accuracy in compliance with facility policies, union guidelines (if applicable), and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling for assigned region’s nursing teams, ensuring adequate coverage across all units and shifts
  • • Monitor and adjust schedules in response to staffing shortages, call-outs, census changes, and acuity fluctuations
  • • Coordinate float pool and per diem utilization to optimize staffing and reduce overtime
  • • Partner with HR and Nursing Directors on FTE tracking, hiring plans, and onboarding schedules
  • • Maintain scheduling systems and ensure data accuracy in workforce management tools (e.g., Kronos, Smart Square, or similar)
  • • Prepare and distribute scheduling reports and compliance dashboards
  • • Support proactive planning for holidays, peak seasons, and special projects
  • • Act as the point of contact for schedule-related inquiries and resolve conflicts professionally
  • • Ensure compliance with internal policies, collective bargaining agreements (if applicable), and labor laws
  • • Attend staffing and operations meetings to provide input on workforce planning

Qualifications

  • • Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, HR, or related field preferred)
  • • Minimum 5 years of scheduling experience in a high-volume, fast-paced healthcare environment
  • • Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling best practices, FTE management, and staffing models
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • • Ability to multitask, prioritize under pressure, and problem-solve with a customer-service mindset
  • • Proficient in scheduling or workforce management platforms (e.g., Kronos, API, UKG, Smart Square) and Microsoft Office Suite
