Lead Technician – Automotive Spray Paint Booths

In this position, you’ll be trusted with a company vehicle for travel to customer sites. For this reason, candidates must be trustworthy, responsible, and insurable under our company policy.
You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of automotive spray paint booths, including building walls, wiring electrical components, troubleshooting error codes, and ensuring complete system functionality. Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain automotive spray paint booths, including building walls, connecting electrical components, and troubleshooting error codes.
- Follow schematic wiring diagrams and termination procedures.
- Test operations of systems to confirm 100% functionality and customer satisfaction.
- Maneuver motorized heavy equipment for accurate removal and placement of materials.
- Track unused materials and maintain a clean work area; respect for the customer’s space is critical.
- Perform manual labor duties related to construction, maintenance, and repair of paint booths.
- Interface with customers to resolve installation and service concerns.
- Use sound judgment and self-control when entrusted with company and customer property and confidential information.
Requirements:
- Must be able to read mechanical assembly drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills for common electrical equipment problems.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in hot/cold environments, and work in confined spaces.
- Regularly lift and/or move 50 lbs.
- Must be prepared to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and be insurable under company policy.
- Willingness to work out of state, including overnight Monday–Thursday travel to remote job sites (home on weekends).
