Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project plans.
- Oversee daily site activities, ensuring work progresses safely, on schedule, and within scope.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide team execution accurately.
- Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera; adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Monitor quality control processes to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards (OSHA), and client expectations.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, including heavy machinery like Ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, change orders, contracts, and safety reports.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure OSHA regulations are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Supervise subcontractors and team members in tasks such as pipeline installation or other specialized construction activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in heavy civil or commercial projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budgeting, and managing multiple trades simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of contracts, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Supervising experience with a focus on quality control and safety compliance (OSHA).
- Skilled in using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing or other technical equipment relevant to the role.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
