Duties
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, and basic life support during emergencies
- Support diagnostic procedures and other outpatient assessments
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program
- Proven experience
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology essential for effective patient care
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and efficiently
- Ability to perform lab draws
- Experience with emergency medicine procedures including basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and teamwork
