Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including electrical, powertrain, transmission, suspension, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing or repairing components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, electrical wiring, and ADAS modules.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic systems.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines as well as gasoline-powered vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to estimate repairs accurately using auto estimating software and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and vehicle wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools or oscilloscopes.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and repair techniques for both gasoline and diesel engines.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology integration, alignment procedures, welding techniques, and vehicle transmission system repair.
- Ability to interpret automotive schematics accurately and work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
